Data Analyst 2018-2023
International Productions and Publications Inc, New Orleans, LA
Conducted detailed state-by-state profitability analyses for client operations, identifying revenue patterns, cost drivers, and market inefficiencies—synthesized findings into actionable insights that informed operational strategies, pricing models, and competitive positioning efforts.
Designed and built dynamic, interactive dashboards and detailed reports using Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and Visio, transforming complex datasets into clear, decision-ready visualizations. Tailored reporting tools to client-specific KPIs and operational metrics to enhance usability and strategic alignment.
I delivered structured presentations to client executives and stakeholders, translating complex quantitative analyses into clear, actionable recommendations. I addressed questions around methodology, forecasting assumptions, and operational impacts, helping leadership teams make more informed, data-driven decisions across the organization.
I strengthened client decision-making processes through detailed data analysis, accurate forecasting models, and compelling visual storytelling. By applying best practices in data validation, trend analysis, and reporting design, I built greater stakeholder confidence and raised the overall quality and impact of the organization’s analytical work.
Produced comprehensive, data-driven reports and operational dashboards that identified growth opportunities, operational bottlenecks, and cost-saving initiatives. Supported major strategic initiatives by equipping leadership teams with timely, high-quality analytics aligned to evolving business goals.
Operational Manager / Analyst 2009-2020
New Orleans Hospitality Group, New Orleans, LA
Managing a multidisciplinary team, I drove gross revenue growth from $630,000 to $5.77 million between 2010 and 2019, achieving an increase of over 800%. This success was achieved through strategic planning, team building, and disciplined financial management, sustaining consistent growth across multiple business units.
I designed, implemented, and maintained a custom ERP and forecasting system to support this expansion. The system integrated advanced functionalities, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, multi-linear regression models, and real-time data collection. It automated the tracking of employee hours, productivity, and inventory, directly contributing to eight consecutive years of year-over-year revenue and profitability gains.
I developed predictive models using Excel and R by collecting operational, staffing, and sales data across business units. These models improved forecasting accuracy for budget, inventory turnover, and staffing needs, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing operational risk through detailed scenario analysis.
I structured financial assets and operational frameworks designed to isolate liabilities and protect core business operations, mitigating the financial risk associated with new and high-risk ventures. This approach helped shield the company from excessive losses while supporting strategic growth initiatives.
In addition, I led the development of a company-wide inventory management system, which resulted in an 18% reduction in inventory loss, lower labor costs, and improved inventory turnover. The system improvements enhanced operational efficiency and delivered meaningful cost savings across all locations.
Manager 2003-2009
Darden Restaurants Inc, Atlanta, GA
Completed the Darden Restaurants Management Training Program at LongHorn Steakhouse, gaining formal leadership development in operational management, team building, financial controls, customer service standards, and regulatory compliance within a high-volume, performance-driven environment.
Recruited, trained, and led a team of over 20 employees, fostering a cohesive and performance-driven culture that directly resulted in lower labor costs, increased productivity, improved service quality, and significantly reduced turnover compared to industry benchmarks.
Applied foundational leadership, operational analytics, and team development skills gained at Darden to later roles in business operations, financial modeling, and process improvement, building a consistent record of driving organizational growth and operational excellence.
Software Developer 2000-2003
Revlon, Oxford, NC
Based in Oxford, NC, I served as a systems coordinator, supporting a large-scale manufacturing operation and managing ERP platforms across facilities in New Jersey and Arizona. I worked extensively with Revlon's legacy ERP systems, including GEMMS (Generalized Enterprise Materials Management System) and MMCS (Materials Management Control System), overseeing inventory workflows, financial reconciliation processes, and compliance reporting. Through collaboration with Quality Assurance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Materials Management, and Accounting teams, I helped streamline data governance, improve reporting structures, and strengthen operational transparency across multiple business units.
As part of broader modernization efforts, I contributed to a major mainframe migration project around 2001, assisting in the transition from a legacy GEMMS infrastructure to SAP. This involved coordinating data mapping, validating system functionality, and ensuring continuity of core manufacturing and inventory processes during the migration.
I developed and deployed automation tools using VBA, Java, and SQL to streamline the production of weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational reports. These tools significantly reduced manual reporting time, improved data accuracy, and provided leadership teams with real-time visibility into production performance, inventory levels, and labor metrics. My technical solutions supported key business initiatives, enhanced cross-functional communication, and directly improved decision-making speed and reliability.
Beyond systems work, I was deeply involved in day-to-day warehouse operations. I developed software to facilitate communication between the loading docks and warehouse staff, improving inventory tracking and shipment accuracy. I managed processes for sending and pulling pick lists, coordinated bulk versus discrete inventory handling, and organized production runs based on real-time inventory data and sales forecasts. This work helped improve warehouse efficiency, reduce stock discrepancies, and support smoother outbound logistics to distribution centers and clients.
